Those black streaks on your roof are a cyanobacterium called gloeocapsa magma. Pressure washing a roof will void your shingle warranty and can dislodge granules. Our roof soft-wash uses a low-pressure application of sodium hypochlorite blended with a surfactant — it kills the algae on contact and rinses clean. Results are typically visible within days, and full brightness returns within a week or two of the first rain.
